Anthony vs. G
Perched in his matte black, illegally tinted Range Rover, Anthony carefully observed the flashy young rapper who’d become a thorn in Brelynn’s side for the past few months. While he tended to be hands-off and let his children, and yes, he considered his niece and nephew his own, there were certain things Anthony couldn’t let slide, no matter how much they may have wanted him to.
He could live with a smart comment here and there. G popping up at Raheem’s studio to make threats and then approaching Brelynn again in public was something Anthony couldn’t tolerate. Having overheard Brelynn and Raheem discussing the situation when they thought they were alone prompted him to act, whether they liked the results or not.
Clearing his throat, he reached into the glove compartment for his pistol and exited his vehicle, approaching the group.
“Oh, shit,” G sang as he approached. “Looks like the old head is a fan. I do do autog—”
Before G could finish his sentence, Anthony had the muzzle of his gun pressed to his throat.
“Far from a fucking fan, actually,” he growled as G’s entourage scrambled, trying to determine what to do.
“Aye, man, what the fuck?”
“I’d advise you to warn your boys that if they are thinking of doing something stupid, I won’t hesitate to pull this trigger.”
Fear flickered in G’s eyes. “Are you crazy?”
“Probably,” Anthony shrugged. “You’d be surprised how many people used to ask me that daily. I was regularly hard to deal with back then. I’ve calmed down a lot—but nothing gets under my skin more than someone tampering with my family.”
“I don’t know what you—”
“I’m bored with listening to you talk, so how about you shut the fuck up and listen. Raheem is a problem you’ll make for yourself if you keep barking up that tree, but Brelynn is off-limits. If I hear you even breathe around her again, it’s going to be a very long and painful journey between you and the death you’ll beg me for. Do you understand?”
Attempting to save face for his boys, G tried to free himself from Anthony’s hold. To no avail.
“Boy, please,” Anthony grinned, increasing the pressure of the muzzle against G’s throat. “Don’t let your ego be the reason you end up bleeding on this pavement. You’re young, and you have a whole lotta life left ahead of you. Pending you stay away from my family, course.” Pausing, he shook his head and laughed. “Though I have to admit, I’ve been looking forward to someone giving me a reason to spice up my days.”
G’s eyes widened. “You’re out of your mind.”
Anthony jammed the gun against G’s throat to momentarily choke him before finally letting him go. “Can’t say I haven’t heard that one before, either. Y’all have a good night now, ya hear? I hope we don’t see each other again.” He strolled away before stopping, adding an afterthought. “Well, maybe I hope we do.”
With that, he left G and his crew where they were, a small part of him hoping that he’d be bold enough to try him. However, after how G nearly peed on himself during their encounter, Anthony would be surprised if he didn’t leave town.
Still…one could dream.
